This is one of a series of intuitive series of paintings that I made in early March. I love Spring and these were inspired by everything around – mood, music, sun, green, wind and waves. I painted quickly, with freedom, using a lot of different materials. The pieces changed a lot over time – rubbed, scratched, scribbled, blotted, brushed out, moved around. I was exploring depth and movement, building up rich surface layers. I am happy that they have kept their sense of lightness and space.
